The ICT hub no longer exists. It has been taken over/picked up by NCVO ICT Development Services
It is:
"a source of trusted information and guidance on ICT (information and communication technology) to enable civil sector organisations to operate more effectively.his web site is different to the hub as it attempts to provide more practical local support."
Click on the logo above for more info.
We hope this website will provide more local and practical information (as well as offering tailored solutions) and that it will link to a range of other sites which will give you the tools you need to look after the computers in your organisation.
It also gives you the option to call in an expert to do the job for you.
| The Humber area is made up of The East Riding of Yorkshire, Kingston upon Hull, North Licolnshire and North East Lincolnshire. It has a limited ICT infrastructure with much rurality. However, broadband initiatives mean that the majority of people can get broadband. The limitations of broadband and support tend to be town or city focussed. It is very hard to find one support solution across the whole area and so this web site attempts to provide information about where you can get support locally or over the net. |
Once you have registered you will have access to a list of other people in the voluntary sector who are providing IT support either just for their own organisation or maybe for more than one group. You will also find a database of suppliers. You may want to recommend one that has been particulary supportive to your group. You will also eventually be able to find out what other organisations are operating locally to you which may give you the opportunity to share resources. Did you know that there are computers available for the voluntary sector to borrow (look out for common treasury links on the main FoLDA member websites)? | |
