A driver is a small(ish) bit of software which enables your computer to work/connect with something that is attached to it. Quite often they are also required for bits inside your machine. When you plug something into a USB port, Windows will try and 'discover' what it is and install the appropriate driver from its library. However, lots of devices need their own drivers which come on disks... which get lost! This page links you to sources for the most popular dirvers.
We can access common drivers for you, but the following links will provide you with access to all drivers:
However you may need to register - just follow the instructions. Otherwise you can go directly to the manufacturer.
Don't want the hassle? Just email your request to drivers@virtualriders.com and we will send the driver back to you by email... or on a disk or CD if required for a small fee (£4.00). See our services guide for details.
If you want someone else to sort out your drivers, call to arrange for an expert to help you out.

The above link will take you to a web site which will check your computer to see if its drivers are up to date. It will then tell you which ones are out of date and offer to download them for you... for a fee. Just take a note of those you want and download them yourself from the links on the left...
or call Virtual Riders.
Drivers tend to come with the equipment you purchase and will be held on a floppy disk or a CD. If you are running Windows XP you may not need to install the driver.
Before you do anything, read the manual. It will tell you when to install the driver (which may be before you plug your new kit in). Normally there is a setup program which works exactly the same as if you were installing a computer program. Follow the instructions remembering to select the driver which relates to your product (i.e. make sure you know which model you are installing) and which relates to your operating system (e.g. Windows 98, 2000,XP, etc.).
Updating a driver may require a different process (call Virtual Riders).
When installed your computer may need to be restarted and your new device should work.
